Lane United FC hadn’t taken the field for meaningful USL League Two play in almost ten months, but Sunday, May 21st, happily saw the return of the Reds in their first league match of the season against Capital FC Atletico in Salem, OR. 

It is the eve of the Reds’ first league match of the 2023 season and the coaches, players, and fans can’t wait any longer.

The Lane United Reds women’s team lost their first-ever home match at Civic Park on Friday to Oly Town FC by a score of 4-1.

Sunday’s loss to Capital FC was a tough one, but the Reds look to bounce back with a contest at home against Oly Town FC. 

In the team’s final tune-up of the preseason, Lane United FC couldn’t stop scoring as they fired seven goals into the back of the net. Head Coach John Galas, midfielder Ethan Doud, and winger Guilherme Viserta spoke to us after the match.

Lane United FC finished off their preseason with a commanding win at home. This evening the club squared off against Deportivo Rose City of the UPSL and took care of business 7-1. 

After an impressive 3-1 victory in the blistering sun this past weekend, Lane United FC will welcome another UPSL team to Eugene to wrap up their preseason, Deportivo Rose City, hailing from Portland.
